Our Founders
George Esseff has been an entrepreneur, philanthropist and a pioneer in the titanium industry for over 50 years. He began his career in 1951 as a chemist and metallurgist for the US Army. Mr. Esseff was at the forefront of developing applications for titanium in areas of the industrial markets such as the metal finishing industry, the chemical/petrochemical field, and recreational markets such as bicycles, marine hardware and others. His most recent company, Titanium Products Design, Inc. develops consumer products in titanium. In 1979, together with his wife, he founded The Esseff Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to relieving the sufferings of the poor both in America and around the world. Over the years, the Esseff Foundation has supported countless humanitarian projects, and the Esseffs. philanthropy has not been limited to merely writing checks. They have personally traveled around the world searching out communities in need, providing their support to hospitals, orphanages, and schools. Their support is seen in Haiti, the Ukraine, Vietnam, Lebanon, and beyond.
Thomas Keefe
In 1995, after a 20 year career in healthcare senior management, including operational responsibility for a 14-hospital system, Mr. Keefe founded IMEC, a non-profit organization that has significantly improved healthcare in over 70 desperately poor countries to-date. Read More »
He created an acquisitions program through IMEC to collect retired equipment from U.S. hospitals, nursing homes, and dental clinics so it could be donated to hospitals and clinics in impoverished countries. IMEC works with thousands of volunteers, NGO.s, government health ministries, and in-country organizations to get this equipment and supplies to those in need at no cost to the receiving institution. IMEC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 Private Voluntary Organization registered with USAID. Mr. Keefe has successfully started three healthcare companies and is accomplished in hospital planning, construction, re-engineering, leadership training and contract negotiation. He graduated from New Hampshire College with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Stephen Delaporte is an inventor who has developed and has patents pending or issued for a number of technologies in the fields of medical diagnostics, neonatology, bioimplantable fluid control systems, hydroacoustics, energy production, and reconfigurable mechanisms. Read More »
In 2005, he founded Aniteal Laboratories to continue to advance a number of his inventions and to allow for additional research and development efforts to be carried out in multiple fields of applied science. He has also founded several other companies based around his more significant inventions, including Laan Instruments, Neurophloem, and Kinmod. He is a graduate of the Cooper Union where he studied both Architecture and Engineering. Mr. Delaporte has also been invited to feature and discuss his inventions at numerous academic institutions.
